Prestigious residence in the historical center of Morciano di Leuca, a few minutes far away from the beautiful white beaches of Salento. Hidden from indiscreet eyes, this ancient residence embellishes Salento and cheers the sight and the heart of those who seek the useful essence of things and inner well-being. The prestigious house develops on an architectural nucleus dating back to the 12th century; it was, in all probability, a Byzantine hall, as evidenced by the frescoes that embellish the walls of the wellness center. Later, in the seventeenth century (1636) the small facility located on the outside of the Medieval Castle of Morciano di Leuca became a School of Philosophy of the Jesuit order, as can be deduced from the inscriptions on the exterior frames and the symbol of the Order of Jesus IHS. After the suppression of the Order, the Jesuits left the site and the needy families reclaimed the property. They made some architectural changes, creating a Court House (a typical Salento facility in which several families shared the common areas). The Philosophy School has been subjected to a long work of recovery and restoration that has brought to light the evidence of the various historical and cultural passages leaving intact their beauty and authenticity. Upon entering, it seems to live in a very remote time, the beauty and charm of the place fascinates the guest and amazes him because the medieval beauty of the facility is embedded in the modernity that makes it functional, pleasant and comfortable. Some places, even before we have seen them, capture our attention and awaken our soul, and this is undoubtedly one of them.

Prices

The indicated prices are for 8 people, prices for 10 people are available upon request. Prices include:
– Midweek cleaning on Wednesday morning (in addition to the Saturday cleaning),
– Weekly change of bed linen and towels (extra change € 15 per person)
– Water and light
– 10% discount for stays of more than 15 consecutive days (offer NOT valid for the month of August)

The cautionary deposit of Eur 500 has to be paid upon arrival or together with the payment of the balance and it will be returned upon departure.
The property is not wheelchair accessible.
